About the concert…

The Ridgewood Conservatory’s Third Annual Faculty Recital: A Benefit Concert for the Ridgewood Arts Council on Sunday, Feb. 10, 2002, promises to be one of the area’s most exciting musical events. The concert program will feature a diverse selection of classical and jazz performed by members of the school’s faculty, a group of highly accomplished musicians with outstanding performance credentials that range from New York’s Broadway musicals, Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall to concerts and symphonic performances throughout Europe, South America and the Far East. All profits from the concert will be donated to the Ridgewood Arts Council.

THE RIDGEWOOD CONSERVATORY was founded by Louis Caimano, B.S, B.M., M.M., LAUREATE as an outgrowth of his private teaching practice of over twenty-five years. Opening its doors in September of 1998 with just four instructors and sixty woodwind students, the faculty has grown to include twenty-four string, woodwind, brass, percussion, piano and vocal instructors teaching 300 lessons per week. Located in Ridgewood, New Jersey, The Ridgewood Conservatory provides private music lessons, chamber music and jazz ensembles, and Theory and Musicianship classes to student of all ages from Bergen, Passaic and Essex counties.

The mission of the RIDGEWOOD ARTS COUNCIL is to create a central organization that will offer community wide awareness of, and appreciation for the fine and performing arts by:
• Supporting and encouraging the arts organization in existence in the Village of Ridgewood
through a common newsletter/calendar that will enhance publicity for and cooperation of
those groups by acting as a clearinghouse for events and dates.
• Providing a platform for individual artists and groups to express ideas and identify needs.
• Supporting public and private educational programs in the arts.
• Sponsoring art events for all age groups.
• Soliciting financial assistance and community support to achieve these goals.

The Council depends upon community participation and members to continue to achieve these goals.
