GREG LANDES
M.M., Juilliard School; B.M., San Francisco Conservatory. Studied with Roland
Kohloff and Barry Jekowsky. Drum and percussion instructor at Riverdale Country
Day School, Calhoun School (NYC), Mozartina Conservatory and Riverdale YMHA.
Served as percussion juror at NYU Music School. Principal timpani and percussion
with NY Chorale Society, Little Orchestra Society, American Symphony Orchestra,
Manhattan Philharmonic, NY Chamber Symphony, Manhattan Chamber Symphony,
National Chorale, Masterwork Chorale, Opera Northeast, Summit Brass, Absolute
Ensemble, Goldman Band, and the Stamford, Greenwich, New Haven, Springfield,
Westfield Symphonies. Also performed with National Repertory, Caramoor, Waterloo
and Cape May Music Festival Orchestras. Broadway credits include 42nd Street
(current revival), Les Mis, Footloose, Grease, Guys and Dolls, Annie Get Your
Gun, Falsettos, Crazy for You, Forum, Wild Party, Company, Steel Pier, Big,
Gypsy, Putting It Together (orig. prod.), Showboat, Candide, How to
Succeed, and many others. NY performances at Carnegie, Avery Fisher, Alice
Tully, and Merkin Concert Halls as well as internationally in Japan,Germany,
Italy and Australia. Has performed with such artists as Julie Andrews,
Bernadette Peters, Chuck Mangione, Al Jarreau and Michael Amanti. Formed
Synchronicity with pianist and brother Garah in 1997. The duo performs
throughout the US and has released their debut CD "Like Minds" as well as
produced a concert video.

B.M., Hartt School of Music. Director of the NJ Youth Symphony Percussion
Ensemble. Current faculty member Bergen Community College, William Paterson
University, Juilliard Music Advancement Program, Music Outreach. Former faculty
member, St. Thomas Aquinas College, Montclair State University, St. David’s
School. Performed with such notables as Leonard Bernstein, Itzhak Perlman, Zubin
Mehta, Andre Watts and Sal Mosca. Orchestral credits include the American
Symphony Orchestra, New York City Opera, Grand National Opera, New York Grand
Opera, Korean Ballet-Lincoln Center, Canadian Brass, Musica Viva, New
Philharmonic of NJ, Frank Sinatra Jr., Westchester Symphony Orchestra and Aspen
Symphony Orchestra. Broadway shows include Cats, Les Miserables, Joseph and
the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat, Radio City Music Hall Christmas Show and
Hercules; as well as Paper Mill Playhouse productions of Annie, A
Chorus Line, The Wizard of Oz, Peter Pan and Singing in the Rain. Other
credits include the U.S. National Tour of Starlight Express, and the
Aspen and Waterloo Music Festivals.
